Job Overview:

The Business Systems Analyst will bridge the gap between technology and business needs, ensuring efficient use of information systems and technologies that support GICTA’s mission and objectives. He/She will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders and technical experts in gathering, analyzing, translating and creating actionable system solutions based on business requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • ¬†Collaboration with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for information systems, software applications, and technology projects.
  • Conduct thorough business process analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency increases, or automation projects.
  • Translate business requirements into comprehensive functional and technical specifications for development teams. Analyze current system capabilities, proposing modifications or enhancements that meet ever-evolving business demands.
  • Create use cases, workflow diagrams, and other visual aids to communicate system requirements and design to technical teams. Partner with software developers, designers, and quality assurance teams to ensure accurate implementation of system solutions.
  • Participate in testing activities, including creating test scenarios, performing testing and helping troubleshoot and resolve defects. Offer user training and support during system implementation and post-implementation phases.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies relevant to GICTA’s objectives in order to monitor system performance, identify areas for optimization, and suggest recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Help manage project activities such as planning, scope control and progress tracking.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by senior staff.
