National pre-selection 4th Regional Cybersecurity Hackathon

In partnership with ECOWAS Commission, the Ministry is  pleased to announce the National pre-selection 4th Regional Cybersecurity Hackathon from 1–30 April 2026.

As digital connectivity expands across our region, cyber threats continue to evolve. To strengthen our collective resilience, the ECOWAS Commission, in partnership with the Cyber Security Authority of Ghana (CSA), is convening the 4th Regional Cybersecurity Hackathon in Accra, Ghana, from 8 to 12 June 2026.

The event aims to inspire young technologists and contribute to building a resilient cybersecurity workforce for West Africa. The Hackathon will use a Capture the Flag (CTF) format, offering participants hands-on experience in solving real-world information-security challenges. Teams earn points for each challenge solved, with more complex tasks carrying higher scores to encourage creativity, teamwork, and technical depth.

We therefore, encourage the formation of inclusive and diverse teams. Participant profile:

* Target groups: Students, cybersecurity enthusiasts, and cybersecurity professionals

* Age range: 18–35 •

Team size: Minimum of 3 and maximum of 4 participants

All national teams must register at https://ecowasctf.com.gh no later than 31 March 2026 at 23:59 (Abuja time).

Pre-selection timeline:

* National pre-selection: 1–30 April 2026

* Qualification: The first team to solve all national challenges will qualify. If no team completes all tasks, the team with the highest score as of 30 April will advance.
